This coffee comes from the natural processing station of Aricha in the village of Edido in the Yirgacheffe district of Ethiopia. Aricha is a well known microregion for its dynamic, complex, tropical, juicy fruit and floral sweetness. Natural processing means that the mucilage on the outside of the coffee seed (bean) is left to dry naturally on raised beds in the sun rather than washed in a pool with water to clean. This traditional method of processing allows sugars to penetrate the coffee to create the flavors of berry that are associated with naturals. Aricha will have tasting notes of blueberries, blackberries, jasmine, caramel, and slight lime and cherry sweetness. The body is light with a wine-like feel. Aricha is a very complex cup that we hope you’ll enjoy time after time!
